YOUR FUTURE TEAM As part of TCEQs Office of Waste, you would contribute to agency efforts to regulate the generation, treatment, storage, and disposal of various wastes and the cleanup of contaminated sites. See details about what we do. This position is a member of our Voluntary Cleanup Program Corrective Action Section in the Remediation Division. KEY QUALIFICATIONS Experience with the assessment or remediation of sites under Texas Risk Reduction Program (TRRP) / 30 TAC 350. Experience overseeing or conducting soil or groundwater site assessments. Experience with assessment or remediation of federal facilities, such as Department of Defense sites. HERES WHAT YOULL BE DOING... Oversee highly advanced soil and groundwater remediation projects and advise management and staff on technical matters regarding the programs for the Voluntary Cleanup Program/Corrective Action Section of the Remediation Division of the TCEQ. (Reports to the Section Manager.) Coordinate highly advanced remediation projects, which includes drafting documents to address technical reviews and queries; meet with internal and external customers; and conduct site visits as necessary. Process site-specific and other special projects associated with remediation that are outside the standard workflow. Provide leadership and geoscience expertise to other section staff and management and serve as the sections technical representative and liaison with other division and agency programs. Qualifications: EDUCATION EXPERIENCE Licensed as a Geoscientist by the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists (TBPG) plus five years of full-time geological experience beyond licensure. OR Ten years of full-time geoscientist experience and must obtain Geoscientist licensure within twelve (12) months of hire date by the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists (TBPG). *A graduate degree in a geoscience discipline may substitute for one year of the required experience, with a maximum of two years substitution allowed Transcripts/ College Hours or Course Work:See instructionson how to attach documents.
