The Partner Development SE team at Apple works directly with our partner-led customers to enable them to embrace, deploy, lead and secure the Apple Platform at scale within their businesses. This team has the skills, knowledge, expertise and experience to help businesses of all size overcome technical barriers and build the foundation for outstanding Apple practices. As a Partner Development Systems Engineer on our US Enterprise team, you will deliver the recipe for technical success for transforming the way people work.

Description

As an Apple Partner Development Systems Engineer, you understand our customers’ technology and strategic ambitions and help remove the technical barriers and friction points that inhibit customer readiness for our platform. We build new standard methodologies and share them. We lead complex architecture, development, and deployment conversations while obsessing over the end user experience businesses are delivering to their employees. In this role, you will work with the Apple Partner Development Executive and Apple Channel Account Executive to identify the customers our partners are working with that will most benefit from direct engagement with an Apple Systems Engineer to build the processes and infrastructure need to successfully integrate our products into their organizations. No matter the audience, you are an authority at presenting. And, you’re cool under pressure. You make the complex simple and you command an audience by bringing them along for the journey. You empower others to learn, to be curious and ultimately, share your passion for the Apple story. When challenged with complex questions, you share your deep knowledge of how our hardware, software and services integrate. You know yourself—you have strengths, weaknesses and opportunities—but you also know the people around you and are open to their feedback. Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Candidates will have strong technical backgrounds and be able to explain complex problems in simplified terms, tailored to their audience, at all levels of the business

  • Adeptly articulate the benefits of modern deployment methods to your customers and describe the nuances of deploying and managing the Apple platform in large organizations. Familiar with the features and capabilities of top 3rd party management vendors and are able to demonstrate recommended deployment workflows using MDM and ABM for device enrollment, configuration and app distribution, or equivalent experience in competitive platforms.

  • Ability to articulate Apple’s position on Security and Privacy and realize the benefits of security that is built in, not bolted on, or equivalent experience in competitive platforms.

  • Track record advising on technical business transformation solutions for large enterprises or validated experience in a consultative pre-sales engineering role

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively at all interpersonal levels

  • Must excel in written communication, virtual and in-person presentation skills

  • Able to see what’s ahead and identify trends that will be necessary for growth within our customers environment

  • 25%-50% domestic travel

Key Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with evaluating sophisticated IT enterprise environments (Deployment, Security, SSO, Zero Trust)

  • Experience advising on technical business transformation solutions for large enterprises or at least 5 years of experience in a consultative pre-sales engineering role

  • Familiarity with Apple’s App development tools and the advantages they bring to large organizations demonstrating mobility for business transformation. Confidently explain the advantages of deploying platform specific apps for business and can appropriately guide customers through the best route to development (build/buy/partner) for a given use case.

  • Experience working with Channel Partners, familiarity with Procurement standard methodologies.

  • Experience positioning Professional Services Engagements and evaluation Statements of Work. Ability to identify technical debt in Customer environments, opportunities to modernize infrastructure and accelerating transformation with Engineering engagement.
