Job Title:Wealth Manager Division:Wealth Management FLSA Classification:Exempt Pay Rate:Salary

Position Purpose:The Wealth Manager (WM) is responsible for managing and administering trusts, estates, and other fiduciary accounts. The WM will work closely with clients to understand their financial goals and objectives and develop strategies to help them achieve those goals. The WM also ensures that all legal and regulatory requirements are met, and that all transactions are properly documented and recorded.

Job Requirements Education:A 4-year degree in finance, business, or related field required. Specialized wealth management licensure, including CPWA, CTFA, CSOP, or equivalent is required.

Experience:A minimum of three to five (3-5) years experience in a trust administration normally required. Knowledge of trust and estate laws and regulations, as well as other industry regulations, is required.

Skills:Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; advanced problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills; strong attention to detail; highly organized; ability to multi-task accurately and efficiently; ability to type at least 50 wpm; proficiency with Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; fluent communication in the English language; ability to travel between Bank and client locations as needed.

  • Identifying clients financial risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Set up, manage and administer trusts, estates, and other fiduciary accounts.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement appropriate strategies to help clients achieve their financial goals and objectives.
  • Creating plans for transferring wealth to heirs and/or charitable organizations.
  • Ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Ensure that all transactions are properly documented and recorded.
  • Communicate regularly and professionally with clients to provide updates on their accounts.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as attorneys and accountants, to provide comprehensive financial planning services.
  • Remain up to date on industry trends and best practices.

Compliance/Other Expectations

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding wealth management, trust, and estate services.
  • Remain up to date on industry regulations.
  • Be fully trained and knowledgeable in all compliance related areas of banking, trust services, and wealth/investment management including, but not limited to: BSA, OFAC, Reg E, NACHA, Dodd-Frank, ERISA, FINRA guidelines, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
