Job Title:Wealth Operations Specialist Division:Wealth Management FLSA Classification:Non-exempt Pay Rate:Hourly

Position Purpose:The Wealth Operations Specialist (WOS) is responsible for managing and executing operational processes related to wealth management. This includes managing client accounts, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements Education:A 4-year degree in accounting, finance, or related field is required.

Experience:A minimum of two to three (2-3) years experience in trust, investment, and/or wealth management operations is normally required. A strong understanding of financial markets and investment products and knowledge of financial accounting, bank regulations, and trust laws is required.

Skills:Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; advanced problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills; strong attention to detail; highly organized; ability to multi-task accurately and efficiently; ability to type at least 50 wpm; proficiency with Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; fluent communication in the English language.

General Expectations

  • Manage client accounts and ensure accuracy of account information.
  • Process transactions related to client accounts, including trades, transfers, and distributions.
  • Collaborate with other teams, including investment management and client services, to ensure seamless client experience.
  • Identify and escalate operational issues to management as needed.
  • Develop and maintain operational procedures and documentation.
  • Reconcile mutual fund accounts and post dividend reinvestment transactions.
  • Perform reconciliations of trust accounts.
  • Reconcile statements, department cash, assets and accounts.
  • Research, vote, and post capital structure changes in securities.
  • Coordinate and execute the production of client statements.
  • Perform Daily balancing of accounts with custodians.

Compliance/Other Expectations

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding investment management.
  • Remain up to date on industry regulations.
  • Be fully trained and knowledgeable in all compliance related areas of banking, trust services, and wealth/investment management including, but not limited to: BSA, OFAC, Reg E, NACHA, Dodd-Frank, ERISA, FINRA guidelines, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
