Through our dedicated, experienced and skilled clinicians, we provide patients and their families with the highest quality of personalized care. Programs are offered for children, adolescents and adults struggling with mental illness as well as offering services specializing in Anxiety, Eating Disorders, and Geriatric Services. The psychologist at the Webb Schools is part of an inter-disciplinary team working to help children with mental health issues make academic, social, and emotional progress. Clinical duties include conducting psychological evaluations, carrying a caseload of students for school-based individual psychotherapy, co-leading school-based group psychotherapy, responding to behavioral crises, and performing risk assessments as needed. Psychological evaluations include cognitive, social-emotional, behavioral and personality testing. The psychologist is responsible for consulting with team members, developing and implementing individual education plan (IEP) clinical goals, writing functional behavioral assessments (FBA) and behavior intervention plans (BIP), and attending Planning Placement Team and staff meetings. Communicating with parents/guardians, and coordinating treatment with outside providers is also an important part of the job. Opportunities for professional development within The Webb Schools and the Institute of Living are available and encouraged. * * Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology. * Completion of an APA approved internship. * At least one year of supervised experience working with children and adolescents. * Licensure with the CT Department of Public Health. * Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as a member of multidisciplinary team. * Good judgment in pressured situations, effective leadership and consultation skills. * Willingness to be flexible and self-reflective are preferred qualities. * Good training and experience in psychological assessment. * Experience working with children and adolescents with a range of mental health disorders and familiarity with special education is preferred.
