Reference #: oVu7tfwJ_7274546e8b Description Responsibilities: Manage large Commercial & Institutional MEP Subcontractors (in office and field) 1. Monitors all project activity including schedules, spending and related items to ensure timely and quality completion of assigned MEP trades. Notifies project leadership of any situations that would have a significant impact on the completion date, cost or quality. 2. Conduct internal MEP staff meetings to disseminate appropriate company and project information. Ensures that all staff is informed of needed information, policies and expectations regarding safety and related regulations. 3. Support procurement of all MEP materials for the project in accordance with established procurement policies and procedures and contract documents. 4. Review subcontractor and vendor invoices throughout the lifecycle of the project and approve for payment or negotiate appropriate changes with subcontractor. 5. Prepare and submit change orders for approval of client. Prepare and submit invoices to accounting for monthly billings. Ensure subcontractors are notified of all change order documentation. 6. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with architect, engineers, client, building representatives, and subcontractors on the project team. 7. Review and approve shop drawings & develop and manage and maintain submittal logs.

  1. Oversee regularly scheduled MEP Coordination Meetings with support from project VDC team to ensure MEP utilities are coordinated, fabricated and installed in accordance with the project schedule.

  2. Chair " as needed " Specialty Systems meetings and complete Meeting Minutes.

  3. Execute Quality Control inspections, issue deficiency notices, maintain and track items to closure.

  4. Develop and coordinate with subcontractor(s) and owner and owner's commissioning agent a plan to start up and commission the MEP systems prior to substantial completion of the project

  5. Review Subcontractor RFI's. Answer questions if possible or issue to the Design Team as a formal RFI.

  6. Manage Material Expediting Log, by following up regularly to confirm dates are on track. Coordinate with ROJ (Required on Job) Dates per the project schedule.

  7. Follow up on trade permits & special inspection as required

  8. Knowledgeable in Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Sheetmetal, Life Safety Systems, BAS Controls, A/V Systems and Fire Alarm Systems.

Position Requirements & Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual should meet the following minimum requirements and qualifications. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or related field. Minimum of 10+ years of commercial general contractor project management experience. Healthcare sector experience required. Experience should include strong supervisory responsibility. Well-developed communications, decision making, financial analysis, interpersonal, organizational and team work skills are required. Strong ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with clients and architects is required.
