When the Nassau County Civil Service Competitive Bilingual Typist Clerk exam is announced, candidates, provisionally appointed, must register for the exam, pass the exam, and be reachable to continue in the position.

• Graduation from high school or two years of satisfactory clerical experience

• Must live in Nassau County for a full year.
