Albatros North America, Inc. d/b/a/ SepsaMedha (Ballston Spa, NY) seeks Test Specialist to perform highly complex tests of electrical power conversion products and electrical/electronic/power conversion equipment, to the specifications of particular transit agencies for particular types of railway cars. Identify intermittent defects using knowledge of high-voltage test cabins. Maintain, operate, analyze, and interpret captured data for defect correction. Provide engineering support with instrumentation and tests to adjust the functioning of new equipment, tools and special applications, including both commercial client-specific applications. Work with field service technicians to deliver customer service and determine/diagnose/repair root causes of equipment failures. Perform data conversion tests (CVS) in test benches, applying test protocols on post-production equipment to guarantee quality and equipment used. Monitor static converters during warranty period; generate reports for engineering; make necessary modifications to hardware and software to assist in problem correction. Requirements: Associate’s degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Automation, Electronics Engineering, or closely related field. Five years of experience as an electronics technician or any related job title involving the commissioning, testing, and/or service of electrical/electronic/power conversion equipment for use/application in the rail industry, including familiarity/experience with onboard video surveillance systems, auxiliary power units, and train communications systems/wayside communication equipment, such as Xilinx Lab Tools, QuartusProgrammer, Altera Quartus, STMicroelectronics, and Duagon.
