Robert Half Accounting Manager in Baltimore, Maryland

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager in the Non-Profit industry in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. The Accounting Manager will be crucial in managing accounting functions, providing accurate financial records, and ensuring effective internal control systems.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the operation of accounting software systems to ensure the accurate record keeping and reporting of financial transactions.

• Direct and control accounting functions to ensure the efficient operation of the accounting department.

• Conduct auditing processes to ensure compliance and accuracy in accounting practices.

• Supervise billing functions, ensuring invoices are issued and payments are received in a timely manner.

• Manage GAAP Accounting principles to ensure standardization and compliance in all accounting tasks.

• Conduct cash flow analysis to monitor the organization's financial status and make financial forecasts.

• Oversee account reconciliation to ensure the accuracy of financial data and adherence to financial regulations.

• Use ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems to integrate and manage business processes related to accounting.

• Utilize ADP - Financial Services for payroll management and other human resource functions.

• Implement BlackLine software for automating complex financial processes.

• Use Concur software to manage employee expenses and invoice processes. Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is mandatory- Netsuite is Preferred

• Must have experience in handling various Accounting Functions

• Expertise in Auditing is required

• Familiarity with Billing Functions is essential

• Should have a strong understanding of GAAP Accounting

• Must be skilled in Cash Flow Analysis

• Ability to handle Account Reconciliation effectively

• Previous experience in a non-profit setup will be an advantage

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred

• Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required.
