Role Summary
At T. Rowe Price, Asset Class Product Management (ACPM) teams lead efforts to develop and manage investment strategies across asset classes and globally to sustainably grow our business. The ACPM teams work closely with Investments, Global Distribution and other teams in Global Product, such as the Regional Product Management teams.
As a member of the ACPM teams, the Asset Class Program Manager will lead complex product management and product development initiatives. Most of these efforts will involve creating a structured approach to solving product development or product management initiatives and working effectively with subject matter experts from various functions across the organization. Specific initiatives may include leadership and/or support of product changes, enhancements, strategy and vehicle launches and closures across asset classes, as well as other firm initiatives. This position emphasizes collaboration, problem solving, and project management skills. The role will be responsible for creating a consistent, repeatable process across the ACPM teams and identifying opportunities for process improvement. The role is responsible for project/program management activities, including structuring and evolving workplans, contingency/dependency tracking, status reporting, issue/risk identification and tracking, scope management, and internal and external stakeholder management.
Principal Responsibilities
Creates detailed workplan(s) for and leads end-to-end project management activities for complex initiatives:
Builds and synthesizes highly detailed project plans, requiring significant stakeholder management skills and interpretation of diverse and varied information, including technical investment and product-related topics
Develops project goals, identifies risks, needs for resource allocation, and roles and responsibilities for assigned projects
Establishes governance (e.g., sponsors, approvers, stakeholders) for assigned projects
Manages the progress and contributions of workstream leads or subordinate project managers to ensure all activities deliver expected value within committed time frames
Manages contingencies between multiple projects and monitors interdependencies and synergies
Monitors and recommends plan adjustments to meet changing stakeholder needs
Provides transparency in project progress and effectively anticipates and mitigates major risks across the project life cycle
Proactively crafts feasible solutions to combat risks and issues
Secures, leads, motivates, and inspires the internal and external support and resources required to effectively deliver each initiative
Communicates effectively with senior management, subordinates, and peers alike

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND -8+ years of total relevant work experience, ideally in asset management
Preferred:
MBA or advanced degree
CFA not required but highly additive
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written), demonstrating the ability to influence people at all levels of the organization
Investment and product knowledge
Product and/or project management experience, especially managing and communicating status of initiatives to cross-functional and senior stakeholders
FINRA Requirements
FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.
Work Flexibility
This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to two days per week from home.
Base salary ranges:
$146,000.00 - $248,000.00 for the location of: California, New York
$128,000.00 - $219,500.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C
$116,500.00 - $199,000.00 for the location of: Colorado, Maryland, Washington and all other US locations
Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role . Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package . Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
