Robert Half Audit Manager in Baltimore, Maryland
Description We are looking for an Audit Manager to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. This role involves planning, coordinating, and scheduling the work of an auditing division, and supervising auditing, accounting assistant, and office support personnel within the industry. This is a long-term contract role, offering an opportunity to work in a conventional office environment with minimal physical exertion required.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and coordinate the activities of an auditing division
• Supervise auditing, accounting assistant, and office support personnel
• Plan, manage and schedule auditing work to ensure timely completion
• Apply knowledge of accounting and auditing practices and procedures in daily operations
• Employ knowledge of accepted auditing procedures related to complex accounting systems
• Adhere to the laws and regulations pertaining to accounting
• Organize and manage the work of others effectively
• Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with team members and superiors
• Demonstrate administrative and supervisory ability in managing tasks and personnel
• Utilize skills in Government Audits, Governmental accounting, Risk based internal auditing, Annual Internal Audit, and Internal Audit. Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 7 years of experience in auditing, preferably in a managerial role
• Proficiency in Government Audits and Governmental Accounting
• Demonstrated experience in Risk-based Internal Auditing
• Proven track record in conducting Annual Internal Audit
• Strong knowledge and application of Internal Audit procedures and principles
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Proficient in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• High ethical standards and professionalism, as this role involves handling sensitive and confidential information.
