Johns Hopkins University Evergreen Museum Coordinator in Baltimore, Maryland
The Evergreen Museum & Library is seeking an Evergreen Museum Coordinator who will report to the Programs & Interpretation Manager and provide overall assistance and security to the museum, along with being primarily responsible for visitor services.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Opens and closes the museum on weekend days.
Oversees and assists with museum activities, operations, the gift shop, and tours.
Greets and interacts with visitors.
Assists with the promotion of events.
Notifies the Curator/Registrar of any problems with house or collections.
Performs general office duties.
Basic maintenance and troubleshooting.
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Customer-service oriented.
Professional appearance.
Polite manner and disposition.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain seated for work, travel up and down stairs when needed, and carry tables, chairs, boxes, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED, with Bachelor's degree preferred.
Demonstrated customer service skills and general computer skills. One year experience preferred.
Additional education may substitute for some required experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
Museum and retail experience.
Knowledge of QuickBooks.
