The University of Maryland School of Nursing (UMSON) is currently recruiting for a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join the Department of Family and Community Healthand the faculty of the Family Nurse Practitioner Specialty. The faculty member would primarily participate in the development, teaching, organization, and evaluation of the evidence-based practice courses across programs and the didactic and clinical FNP-DNP courses, as well as scholarship and service. UMSON enrolls more than 2,500 students in its baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral programs. It is ranked among the top ten schools of nursing by U.S. News & World Report. UMSON is part of the University of Maryland, graduate professional campus that also includes the schools of medicine, dentistry, law, pharmacy, and social work. Its interdisciplinary graduate school has more than 40 programs in biosciences, law, and social work, and is one of the fastest growing biomedical research centers in the nation. Primary Responsibilities · Instruction in the evidence-based practice courses in the baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral programs and the FNP-DNP didactic and clinical courses. · Advise students. · Maintain an active program of Scholarship. · Participate in faculty governance. · Provide service to the school, university, and profession. * Doctoral degree in nursing or a related field. * Current license to practice nursing in Maryland required. * FNP board certification. * Experience as an FNP preferred. * Prior academic experience preferred. // /UMB is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
