Robert Half Payroll Specialist in Baltimore, Maryland

Description We are in search of a meticulous Payroll Specialist to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. You will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate and prompt processing of payroll, conducting various payroll-related tasks, and maintaining compliance with laws and regulations. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process global timesheets, reclasses, timesheet reversals, supplemental wages, and manual timesheets using relevant accounting software systems.

• Support end-to-end payroll processes, including data entry, wage calculation, and timely disbursement of salaries.

• Confirm and process payroll changes such as new hires, terminations, promotions, and salary adjustments.

• Conduct basic reconciliation and auditing processes during each pay cycle.

• Collaborate with team members to maintain accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records.

• Generate reports related to payroll, taxes, and benefits when required.

• Address employee inquiries about payroll matters, resolve pay discrepancies, and handle tax-related issues.

• Assist with audits and reconciliations by conducting regular audits of payroll records to identify and rectify discrepancies.

• Ensure accurate processing and reconciliation of Paid Time Off (PTO) accruals and maintenance of advance PTO balances.

• Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure accurate and consistent employee data. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now

• Familiarity with Ceridian and Dayforce platforms

• Knowledge of 401k - RRSP Administration

• Proficiency in About Time software

• Understanding of Accounting Functions and Auditing practices

• Familiarity with Benefit Functions

• Experience with Costpoint - Deltek and Deltek Costpoint

• Proficiency in ADP - Payroll and Process Payroll

• Knowledge of General Journal and General Ledger operations

• Experience with Deltek Time software

• Ability to manage Approved Timesheets

• Proficiency in managing Time Entries and Time Estimates

• Strong Time Management skills

• Ability to manage Time Cards

• Experience in resolving Account Discrepancies

• Knowledge of Family Medical Leave and Leave of Absence policies

• Proficiency in managing Medical Leave and Leave Requests
