Johns Hopkins University Research Data Manager in Baltimore, Maryland

We seek a Research Data Manager to manage longitudinal data. Will be responsible for merging and labeling data, creating datasets, performing quality assurance, and generating reports. Will create both cross sectional and longitudinal datasets.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Creating datasets.

  • Performing data quality assurance, managing and manipulating raw data to incorporate into study databases.

  • Performing data quality assurance and data edits.

  • Creating harmonized variables and composite variables.

  • Applicant must be willing to work collaboratively with a diverse team of investigators.

  • Identify potential problems with study data and collaborate with other staff to resolve issues.

  • Preparing data tables and figures for publications and presentations at scientific meetings.

  • A strong background in statistical principles and data analysis are required with knowledge of Stata, SAS, or R (some experience with SAS is desirable as our data is managed in SAS)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.

  • Three years related experience.

  • Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Stata or SAS or R programming proficiency.

  • Experience creating longitudinal data sets for longitudinal analysis and survival analysis.

  • Good interpersonal skills and a “team-oriented” approach with other staff members and investigators.

  • Good problem-solving skills, including organizing and investigating possible solutions and presenting them to the team for discussion.

Role/Level/Range: ACRP/04/MC

Starting Salary Range: $47,500 - $83,300 Annually (Commensurate with experience)

Employee group: Full Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday: 9 am – 5 pm
