Maryland Transportation Authority Special Program Manager (Program Manager III) in Baltimore, Maryland

This is a

The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) owns, operates, and maintains eight major toll facilities comprised of four bridges, two tunnels, and two turnpikes, across the State of Maryland. Nature of Work:The Special Program Manager provides budgetary oversight, guidance and assistance to the Office of Engineering and Construction Directors, Deputy Directors, and Engineering Discipline Managers for the collection, maintenance, analysis, and distribution of all capital and operating projects information. The incumbent in this position also collaborates with team members and project managers to execute delivery schedules on each project while collaborating with each other to meet the programs strategic goals. Duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Coordinates with the Chief Engineer on all activities related to the development of the draft and final Consolidated Transportation Program (CTP);
  • Coordinates with the Chief Engineer using internal reporting system in monitoring and managing the adherence to projects scopes, schedules, budgets, and the projection of long-term funding and cash flow needs;
  • Prepares the quarterly comprehensive work schedules for submission to the MDTA Board for review and approval and to The Secretarys Office (TSO) using the establish system of cash flow projections and project schedules;
  • Coordinates with MDTA's Division of Finance regarding obligations, quarterly reconciliations, and year end closings;
  • Advises Office of Engineering and Construction (OEC) leadership of issues associated with the funding and cash flow needs of the agency based on the approved capital program;
  • Assists in maintaining and managing a long-term funding report that considers both a constrained and unconstrained assessment of OEC's capital needs;
  • Ensures collaboration among project teams to manage risks; and
  • Develops and ensures adherence to standards for reporting on program performance to executive team and organization leaders as needed.

The incumbent in this position will report directly to the

Chief Engineer.

The current vacancy for this position is in

Baltimore, Maryland, in the Office of Engineering and Construction (OEC). Hybrid telework schedules may be available for this position.
