Lockheed Martin Supplier Quality Field Rep Staff - Maryland in Baltimore, Maryland

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Supplier Quality Field Representative (SQFR) for a position based in Maryland

The position will require working flexible hours and frequent travel to support suppliers across the United States. The SQFR will operate from a home office located in the geographic area near the locations mentioned previously.

A Supplier Quality Field Representative for Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control collaborates with internal quality, engineering and manufacturing functions and suppliers to ensure quality standards and product requirements are met. Ensures supplier contract requirements are implemented and verified.

What You Will Be Doing

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Monitors quality control activities and systems at supplier facilities and maintains feedback loops. Performs surveillance ensuring supplier's conformance to company and program requirements. Performs source inspections (both in process and final), first articles, manufacturing process validations, source surveillance and special process audits, as applicable.

• Conducts supplier risk and capability assessments. Monitors supplier performance.

• Provides internal and supplier support for root cause and corrective/preventive actions related to supplier discrepancies.

• Supports supplier failure investigations as required.

• Ensures control of supplier nonconforming items, conduct analyses, and monitor effectiveness of corrective actions at the supplier.

• Must be able to effectively communicate and interface with Suppliers, Quality Program Management, Engineering, Supplier Quality Management, Subcontracts (Buyers) and Government Representatives.

Candidates may be required to work in a manufacturing environment that would require standing and the use the appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (protective footwear, eye / hearing protection, or other protective equipment designed to protect people from workplace hazards).

A typical candidate has 8+ years of professional experience.

This position entails 75% travel.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Must be located or willing to relocate to Maryland.

Comprehensive knowledge and experience in Quality processes and procedures, including AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems

Strong understanding of engineering drawing requirements, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and mechanical and electrical inspection methods.

Skills and experience with complex machined parts, electro-mechanical systems, PWB and circuit card assemblies, IPC J-STD-001 for soldered electrical and electronic assemblies, cable/harness assemblies.

Must be able to identify and document supplier's quality deficiencies and ensure effective corrective actions.

Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements.

Comprehensive understanding of special processes and an understanding of how to manage and interface with suppliers daily.

Ability to focus on continual improvement practices and increase affordability.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment, including working with suppliers.

Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines and support all program supplier quality engineering activities.

Additionally, candidates may be required to work in a manufacturing environment that would require standing and the use the appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (protective footwear, eye /hearing protection, or other protective equipment designed to protect people from workplace hazards).

Desired Skills:

Technical degree from an accredited college

An understanding of the MFC SAP and P2P business systems.

ASQ Certification, i.e., (1) Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) , (2) Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) and/or (3) Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)

Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt / Black Belt)

Experience with source inspection, special process surveys, purchase order reviews and surveillance activities at suppliers

Demonstrated leadership and customer relationship management skills

Experience with optical components and systems

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $91,300 - $175,000. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
