Responsible for clinical care of pediatric inpatients, interaction with and clinical oversight of allied health personnel as indicated for delivery of high-quality patient care. The Pediatric Hospitalist will perform pediatric patient examinations and advise them on treatment options. They will devise care plans and prescribe medication and treatment regimens. The Pediatric Hospitalist will work closely with the pediatric intensivists at the Lafayette Family Cancer Institute to provide comprehensive in-patient care and administer an established pediatric sedation program. Supervise two Nurse Practitioners. Must have MD, DO, or foreign degree equivalent; 36-month residency in pediatrics or related; and Maine Medical License or eligible.
