Talen Energy Production Supervisor in Bangor, Pennsylvania
This position is a key contributor to the overall work management at the Martins Creek Power Plant
Primary Responsibilities:
Coordinates and builds the weekly work schedule. Maintains the preventive maintenance work list including evaluation and adjustment to frequency and durations depending upon equipment performance and plant conditions.
Schedules vendor support and work activities out to three weeks or greater. Reviews backlog work and schedules as appropriate considering priority.
Manages the planning function and staff.
Works with outage management for scheduling resources for outages and other significant work evolutions.
Coordinates the maintenance of all power-generating equipment, which will include plant support systems, secondary plant systems, and pumps, electrical breaker connections to the system, main turbines, generators, and associated auxiliary equipment.
Acts as the daily and outage work management supervisor facilitating the scheduling and completion of all plant equipment work.
Provides oversight and planning/coordination for both day to day and long-term evolutions/projects, for plant staff and contractors/vendors.
Provides oversight for day to day plant work which may include the holding of clearance orders, providing technical support, and working with planning and the outage daily work management system ensures that scheduled work is prioritized and completed.
Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan, with additional guidance and oversight from manager.
