Job Description The position prepares and analyzes environmental samples using standard analytical techniques according to approved scientific and EPA methodology in compliance with Eurofins Environment Testing Quality Assurance programs and standard operating procedures (SOPs).This position can be physical job that may require standing for long periods, working with organic solvents, laboratory glassware and specialized equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Performs routine lab tasks that provide experience and familiarization with methods, practices, and programs. These include: * Preparation of samples using standard techniques * Performing chemical analysis using standard techniques * Evaluation and quantification of data * Recording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor * Performing routine instrument maintenance * Competency on complex instrumentation instrument specific software (training is provided) * Responsible for timely completion of assigned/scheduled QC samples (MDL, LOD/LOQ, PT) * As required, documents NCMs for projects with quality issues * Works under close supervision using routine and standard methods * Responsible for general housekeeping in work area * Weighing out and recording sample weights * Assisting the prep analysts with sample extractions * Preparing extraction supplies * Upkeep and cleaning of Promochroms * Calibrating pipettes * Maintaining a clean and organized laboratory Qualifications To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, or ability required.
