Phillips 66 Refrigeration Mechanic, Bartlesville Facilities in Bartlesville, Oklahoma

The Refrigeration Mechanic, Bartlesville Facilities will provide technical expertise in the installation, troubleshooting and repair of site specific heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, refrigeration equipment, gas regulators, and process over-pressure protection devices as required for the reliable and safe operation of our technology development center.

Responsibilities May Include:

  • Knowing and performing safe work practices including wearing Personal Protective Equipment

  • Troubleshooting and repair of HVAC, steam & refrigeration, and laboratory exhaust systems

  • Ensuring reliable operation of commercial building systems to maintain safe air requirements in both business and lab environments

  • Testing and maintaining relief valves, including assembling and disassembling valves and operating pressure test equipment

  • Maintaining and keeping accurate valve test documentation and records

  • Participating in facility emergency response plan

  • Being active and participating in a team environment to reach goals

  • Performing formal and informal investigations into root cause analysis of mechanical failures; documenting findings and communicating findings to supervisor

Required Qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • Valid drivers license

  • 1 or more years of direct experience with HVAC or mechanical components and systems

  • Willing and able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to perform/comply with the following:

  • Work outside in any weather as required

  • Work at various heights and climb ladders

  • Lift up to fifty (50) pounds

  • Read and understand process and equipment diagrams, vendor manuals and blueprints

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid State of Oklahoma Mechanical license

  • Five or more years of direct experience in commercial building or laboratory HVAC system maintenance

  • Experience with vessel and pipeline over-pressure protection devices

  • Multi-craft experience, including knowledge of interior & exterior building mechanical systems

  • Knowledge & experience with automated building operation systems, particularly Johnson Controls

  • Proficient with Excel, Word, and SAP

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong customer interaction skills with experience in working with customers

  • Direct verifiable Phillips 66 Research Center site knowledge

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
