Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

Join our team as a Machine Operator, where you will take on the responsibility of refurbishing printing press rolls, ranging from 1.5 inches to 130 inches long. Your tasks will include operating a sand blasting machine, utilizing an overhead crane to move rolls, securely loading journals of rolls into the machine, monitoring the machine's efficiency from a desk outside, unloading rolls, performing quality checks using a micrometer, and reporting any machine issues to the appropriate personnel.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Batavia, Illinois.

Work Environment

This weekend shift role requires you to work from 5am to 5pm, Friday to Sunday, totaling 36 hours, with compensation for 40 hours provided you arrive on time for each shift. The work environment is in an older building which can become somewhat dirty and hot in the summer. Adequate safety measures are in place to ensure a safe working environment.
