Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Dairy Market and Policy Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth analyses of the dairy market, monitoring policy developments, and providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities:

Market Analysis:

  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of the dairy market, including supply and demand dynamics, pricing trends, and preparation of several forecasts.

  • Monitor and interpret market indicators, identifying key factors influencing the dairy industry.

Policy Monitoring:

  • Stay abreast of local, national, and international dairy policies and regulations.

  • Analyze the potential impact of policy changes on the dairy market and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.

  • Analyze and forecast impact of proposed program changes on cooperative members

Data Management and Analysis:

  • Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to interpret large datasets related to dairy market trends.

  • Develop and maintain data to support ongoing analyses.

  • Exercise self-driven curiousity

Forecasting and Trend Analysis:

  • Develop and implement forecasting models to predict future trends in the dairy markets and milk supplies.

  • Identify emerging trends and communicate them to stakeholders.

Reporting and Presentation:

  • Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and dashboards summarizing market analyses and policy insights.

  • Effectively communicate complex analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to present information in front of both internal and external audiences.

  • Compile and submit written communications of dairy market findings and forecasts meeting required deadlines.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate market insights into business strategies.

  • Work closely with policy experts, economists, and other stakeholders to align analyses with organizational objectives.

Tool Proficiency:

  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data manipulation, analysis, and presentation purposes.

  • Ideally, have experience with PowerBI for creating interactive and visually compelling reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Agriculture, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in market analysis, preferably in the dairy or agriculture sector.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive meaningful insights from complex data.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to a non-technical audience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is essential; experience with PowerBI is a plus.

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks concurrently.

  • Knowledge of dairy industry policies and regulations is desirable.

Pay: $58,600 - $76,200 a year*

*The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position. Actual salary will vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, budget available, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position’s minimum qualifications, in addition to internal equity. The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components of the total rewards package may include participation in group health and/or dental insurance, retirement plan, wellness program, paid time away from work, and paid holidays.
