Quality Management System Coordinator

The QMS Coordinator supports the production team to maintain rigorous quality standards, by operating within our Quality Management System, closely following quality plans, and procedures and maintaining a commitment to continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Production Manager, the QMS coordinator performs inspections, manages records, and communicates regularly about quality performance. The QMS Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the quality and efficiency of production operations.

Responsibilities: Perform quality inspections on parts and assemblies to verify conformance to blueprints and specifications and record detailed data, using checklists and measuring instruments. These inspections will be in-house as well as at supplier/subcontractor locations. Participate in non-conformance reviews, root cause data analysis, and corrective actions. Manage internal and external QA/QC reports, testing records, and associated data. Follow strict document control and configuration control procedures. Perform internal quality system audits. Prepare reports and communicate QMS performance with team members, vendors, and customers Engage in fine-tuning our processes to make our production the safest and most efficient it can be. Other projects/initiatives as assigned

Requirements: Minimum 3 years experience working within an ISO 9001 compliant quality management system Above average communication skills Proficiency with MS Office programs Excellent attention to detail Demonstrated ability to take initiative, plan, organize and prioritize Must attend the worksite in Batavia in person daily, and reside in NY State preferably Western New York, or the Finger Lakes Region Travel to vendors is required on a variable basis that can be frequent at times and for up to a week at a time.
A valid drivers license is required. Able to read blueprints, including weldments, and understand assembly instructions. STEM education and/or skilled trades or preferred
