The Director of Procurement - Pressure Sensitive will define and execute sourcing strategy for assigned commodities and suppliers while maintaining continuity of supply and lowest total cost of ownership for MCC and its customers. This role has a significant level of spend responsibility, will likely oversee and manage approximately $300-400MM per year of spend in categories of medium-to-high complexity and risk. Why work at MCC: Compensation: $170,000-$190,000 Generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance and 401(k) Paid Holidays: New Years, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, plus two floating Holidays Responsibilities: Provide strategic decision-support and recommendations to business stakeholders to maximize and ensure the value of supplier performance at MCC. Delivers cost savings, operational efficiencies, and/or added value by leading cross functional stakeholders through fact/evidence-based, data-driven sourcing initiatives with strong market and competitive analysis, creation of leverage, and professional negotiations to secure the best quality, service, and cost to meet MCCs business needs. Leads the development of sourcing strategies for assigned commodities utilizing appropriate sourcing tools, aligning key business stakeholder needs, identifying supply alternatives and recommending the sourcing approach while establishing the project plan/timeline to deliver an effective sourcing solution. Must be comfortable with operating in a continuous improvement atmosphere and achieving year over year results. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or Business Management required. Minimum of (7) seven years of progressive, sourcing and contracting experience, including extensive experience developing and executing strategic sourcing plans Must possess excellent influencing skills as well as strong interpersonal communication skills for building relationships with internal stakeholders and supplier executives at all levels. Must be a skilled negotiator with a proven ability to move negotiations forward to a supplier's best and final offer in the designated time frame for the project; and must be skilled at presenting in a live environment and achieving agreement with others, with a demonstrated ability to maintain grace under pressure in difficult negotiations. Must possess a solid understanding of strategic sourcing fundamentals and a demonstrated track record of facilitating and executing successful sourcing initiatives; as well as a thorough understanding of contracting methods and procedures, techniques of specification and contract writing, purchasing law, and ethics and have the ability to read, analyze and negotiate high-level contracts. Strong analytics skills; deep use of Excel and Access. Previous experience in Visio, SQL Server would be an added advantage . Strong problem-solving skills and work ethic. Ability to understand the impact of accurate data. Excellent written and oral communications skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language. Up to 20% travel, as necessary, domestic and international.
