The Toro Company Sales Analyst - Spartan Mowers in Batesville, Arkansas

*This position can be remote, hybrid or onsite at our Batesville AR or Bloomington MN facility.

The Sales Analyst is responsible for providing analytical and systems support to the assigned Sales team. This role will assist in meeting divisional sales objectives by providing accurate and reliable information to support these objectives.

What Will You Do?  

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for the following responsibilities:

Business Intelligence:

  • Build, maintain and regularly distribute reports and dashboards using corporate business intelligence platforms.

  • Ensure all data, reports and dashboards are accurate.

  • Have primary responsibility for the customer classification process, enabling the breakdown of retail sales by market segment.

  • Review, update and edit Data Driven Direction (DDD) information and reports.

  • Conduct analysis and/or research under the direction of the assigned division VP/GM, Director of Marketing and Director of Sales.

  • Support ad hoc reporting and analysis needs of Sales, Marketing, Product Marketing, Finance, Parts and Product Forecasting/Allocation teams as required.

  • Gather requirements for information and data analysis that provide enhanced and efficient data view outcomes across all business units.

Information Management and Project Coordination:

  • Maintain systems used by division Sales and Marketing; including the distributor retail forecast system (RPS).

  • As a Data Steward, cleanse, maintain and compile data as needed.

  • Assist the planning, implementation and completion of special projects or requests that enhance and support the division strategies and tactics.

  • Represent the division and act as a liaison on I.S. projects that enhance or replace existing systems and provide oversight of data integration between existing systems.

  • Implement improvements to existing sales and marketing information processes.

Other Job-Related Components:

  • Work closely with all levels of assigned business unit sales and marketing personnel; as well as with business channel sales personnel.

  • Maintain strong cross-functional working relationship with Information Services, Marketing, Customer Care, Finance, Corporate Accounts, and World Wide Order Services (WWOS.)

  • Provide training to internal personnel and members of distribution.

  • First level support for questions from users (internal and external)

  • Ensure all system and process documentation is current

  • Some travel required (<20%)

    What Do You Need?  

    To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:  

Education, Experience and Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Business or Marketing or related field preferred.

  • Level I: 0-2 years of experience in sales analysis, business Analytics or a related field, preferably in the manufacturing or consumer goods industry.

  • Experience with business intelligence tools and database platforms

  • Microsoft PowerBI experience is a plus

  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required, along with demonstrated ability with other Microsoft Office products

  • Experience using a CRM system (Salesforce.com or similar)

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven capability to learn and apply new software and web-based applications

  • Specific understanding of data manipulation and data modelling is a plus

  • Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills demonstrated through strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate with all levels within and outside of TTC.

  • Strong project management and organization skills

  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills. Position requires reading, math, research, data analysis, and ability to draw conclusions and create methodologies used to accomplish business team goals.

  • Excellent multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple customers, perform diverse job functions and support a high-performing, successful sales and training team.

  • Must be able to work independently as well as perform as a member of a team
