Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) seeks to fill the position of Adjunct Faculty - PTEC. The Adjunct Faculty - PTEC is located in the Technical Education Division. This is a part-time position.

COMPENSATION:
Salary: $833.33 per 1 credit course taught
Dates/Times - Day, night and weekend classes; various times available

Minimum Qualifications
Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualifications for this position include an AAS in Process Technology or recent verifiable evidence of at least 5 recent years in Process Operations. Preference will be given to candidates who also have a Bachelor's or Master's degree. Knowledge of computer fundamentals and previous teaching experience in an adult environment and oil and gas production would be a definite asset. Strong oral communication, presentation, and classroom management skills combined with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships are essential.
Job Concepts
Adjunct Faculty members are responsible for teaching courses as assigned. Adjunct Faculty may teach in the evening, weekends, online and dual enrollment courses as needed. Adjunct Faculty are expected to support the institution's mission and vision and abide by the Faculty Handbook and college-wide policies. Adjunct Faculty are expected to maintain currency in their teaching discipline Adjunct faculty report directly to the academic program manager and/or department chair within their respective departments and divisions
