The Associate Business Continuity Professional will assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s business continuity and disaster recovery programs. This includes assisting with business impact analyses, risk assessments, and the development and implementation of disaster recovery procedures and protocols. This role will work closely with various departments to ensure business continuity plans are up-to-date and tested regularly.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of business continuity and disaster recovery plans.

  • Assist in conducting risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.

  • Develop and implement disaster recovery procedures and protocols.

  • Conduct business impact analyses to identify critical business functions and resources.

  • Coordinate and participate in business continuity exercises to test the effectiveness of plans.

  • Provide training and awareness to staff on business continuity plans and procedures.

  • Assist in the management of incidents and crises, as needed.

  • Maintain documentation of business continuity and disaster recovery activities.

  • Maintains assigned accounts to meet BCDR deliverables

  • Coordinates BCDR activities for assigned accounts

  • Augment and support senior members of team on projects and BCDR activities

  • Owns small to medium size projects and meets project deliverables

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • 1-2 years of experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, or related field.

  • Certification as an Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP) or willingness to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.

  • Knowledge of disaster recovery best practices and strategies.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
