Our Field Technicians support end-users by remote support and onsite at the client’s location. They also play a crucial role in fostering a technology-rich learning environment, empowering students and educators to leverage technology effectively in their academic pursuits. They contribute to the school's mission of providing a 21st-century education that prepares students for success in a digital world. We offer a competitive pay and benefits package. The Filed Technician is a core part of the operations team and is customer-focused with managed services experience.

VeraPro is currently seeking an experienced Field Technician to join the team.

Position Type: Full Time with weekend availability

Location: Baton Rouge, LA

Work Environment/Physical Demands: Office/light lifting

Travel Requirements: Occasional office visits

Essential Functions:

  • Provide remote and onsite support to end-users

  • Resolve numerous service requests each day

  • Support various versions of desktop operating systems (Windows, Chrome OS, etc.)

  • Troubleshoot and repair personal computers

  • Work with other team members to replace, install, and assist in configuration of Network equipment.

  • Image and prepare devices for end users

  • Detect and remove viruses and malware

  • Precisely document problems and resolutions steps

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-year experience in IT supporting end-users

  • Experience helping users with remote control technology

  • Experience supporting the Microsoft product stack

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Self-motivated, organized, and solution advocate

  • Attention to detail

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • 3 years experience in IT supporting end-users
