What You'll Be Doing

Job Scope: Work directly with Project Controls Leader and Project Mangers to help manage capital projects within the ESS Engineering Group. Provide financial and accounting assistance to help monitor and control spend and cash flow. Assist Project managers by creating requisitions as requested and following the requisition through to PO. Enter goods receipts as approved and assist with invoice reconciliation to ensure that invoices are paid accurately and in a timely manner. Support the efforts of the Project Controls group across the ESS project portfolio.

Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Assist various Project Managers and Project Control Leads with requisitions, goods receipts, invoice reconciliation, and document management

  • Maintain project logs and reports

  • Materials Management

  • Inventory Control

  • SAP – (Requisitions/WAF’s)

  • 360 Life Cycle of a Requisition

  • Relationship Building and Vendor Management

  • Extensive Experience working in SAP for Purchase Requisition creation and Goods Receipts processing

  • Creation of Purchase Requisitions for Services, Repairs and Materials needed for Projects, and Goods Receipts as requested by the Project Manager

  • Heavy Goods Receipt of Contract Labor Invoices Weekly

  • The 360 Life Cycle of a Requisition and Purchase Orders until close of project

  • Report Creating via SAP and exported to Excel for Project Use

  • Relationship Building and Vendor Management

  • Good communication Skills and Computer Software Knowledge

Ideal Background

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor or Master degree in Construction Science, Building Science or advanced coursework is highly preferred.

Certification: No certification is required for this position.

Experience: This position requires 3+ years of relevant industrial experience working with capital projects or SAP Project Systems module.

  • Effective time management and organizational skills required to manage multiple projects

  • Communication skills, both oral and written

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Experience with SAP a plus.

  • Financial/Accounting experience a plus.

  • Analysis skills to determine causes of discrepancies between invoices and invoice entries in SAP as well as other financial inconsistencies throughout the system.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
