Insight Global Project Manager in Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Job Description

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead the transformation of our agency's IT systems and streamline our regulatory oversight processes. The Governor released an Executive Order to streamline the permitting process for the oil and gas industry and other emission-related permits. That Executive Order includes the development and implementation of a dashboard. This role is crucial in driving the agency's transition to more efficient and effective technology solutions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting the Governor's dashboard initiative. The overall goal is that the agency takes the lead and will later be able to integrate with other agencies on their permitting procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Systems Analysis: Oversee the analysis and improvement of 70 IT data systems, categorized into 19 groups, to enhance efficiency and reduce system complexity.

System Modernization: Lead the transition from paper-based audits to digital solutions, working closely with another third party to assess agency needs and recommend IT improvements.

Project Management: Drive the agency's transformation by managing projects, coordinating with the client, and ensuring timely completion of initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with program and executive staff, CapTech, and other stakeholders to identify and implement necessary IT solutions.

Innovation Summit Follow-Up: Implement insights and recommendations from the July 2024 Innovation Summit, engaging with industry leaders, plant managers, CEOs, and executives.

Leadership and Coordination: Provide leadership and coordination for the project team, ensuring clear communication, effective problem-solving, and successful project outcomes.

Skills and Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in a regulatory or government setting.

Proven experience in managing large-scale IT projects and system transformations.

Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to environmental safety and emissions.

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and manage multiple priorities.

Great attitude and forward-thinking mindset

PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is preferred.
