Oracle Senior Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer - Local Government in Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Job Description

The Oracle Local Government team is seeking a highly skilled and technically proficient Senior Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer with extensive knowledge in ERP and/or Public Safety cloud solutions . This role will support our Local Government sales teams by building, maintaining, demonstrating and delivering demo systems for both Oracle Public Safety Suite and NetSuite for Government solutions.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, support and execute advanced pre-sales demonstrations for mid & small-sized agencies across the United States, both onsite and remotely as needed.

  • Provide direct sales support for Oracle’s Local Government Application Sales Representatives by assisting in conducting discovery sessions, providing solution design/recommendation presentations & technical Q/A support for prospective customers to meet or exceed sales targets.

  • Collaborate closely with the pre-sales demo team to deliver highly technical and IT-related presentations.

  • Foster a results-oriented approach, demonstrating responsiveness, adaptability, and a strong sense of ownership.

  • Provision, maintain, update and support the sales demo systems for both Oracle Public Safety Suite and NetSuite for Government.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive technical experience, supporting and maintaining ERP and/or Public Safety solutions.

  • Proven ability to plan and execute effective, advanced pre-sales demonstrations.

  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills.

  • Strong IT knowledge and technical problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to travel as needed for onsite demonstrations and support.

  • Deep understanding of Public Cloud Solutions & IT market trends driving cloud demand such as Analytics, Data Management, Big Data, Next-Gen Application Development, Security & Manageability, Enterprise Integration & APIs, Content Management & UX, etc.

  • Understanding of Cloud Solution Design and Architectures.

  • Experience in hands-on work with any industry-leading Oracle Cloud solutions.

  • A fundamental understanding of DevOps would be an advantage.

  • Knowledge of Oracle technology solutions (database and middleware) would be an advantage.

  • Experience in a customer-facing role (e.g., presales or technical support role) would be an advantage.

  • Ability to travel as needed, but up to 75%.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $30.29 to $76.49 per hour; from $63,000 to $159,100 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 65/35 - 80/20.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
