Robert Half Accountant I in Battle Creek, Michigan

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Accountant I in BATTLE CREEK, Michigan. This role will involve providing administrative and accounting support in a fast-paced environment, primarily focusing on the Automation division.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage machine inventory to ensure accuracy and efficiency

• Execute reconciliation of Machine General Ledger (GL) and submit Machines to Financial Accounting (FA)

• Handle all Automation Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) Invoice inquiries

• Review and track miscellaneous invoice submissions for accuracy and completeness

• Manage machine contracts to ensure they are up-to-date and accurate

• Provide assistance with Avetta compliance to ensure adherence to all relevant rules and regulations

• Assist with service scheduling to ensure smooth workflow and operations

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently

• Maintain accurate customer credit records to ensure data integrity

• Resolve customer inquiries efficiently and effectively by providing high-quality customer service.

This role requires skills in customer service, technical support, compliance, invoice review, scheduling, contracts, time management, collaboration, machinery, accounting functions, and QA automation. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting functions and principles

• Demonstrable experience in customer service

• Ability to provide technical support when necessary

• Understanding of compliance procedures and regulations

• Experience in invoice review and processing

• Proven skills in scheduling and managing contracts

• Familiarity with the software 'About Time'

• Ability to support and manage workstations

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Experience in dealing with stakeholders at various levels

• Strong time management skills

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team

• Knowledge of machinery in the manufacturing environment would be beneficial

• Experience in document submission processes

• Interest or background in recreation activities could be advantageous

• Experience in sales support roles

• Ability to deliver messages clearly and effectively

• Familiarity with QA automation tools and processes

• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
