Pomp's Tire Service is urgently hiring for a General Maintenance Custodian. The General Maintenance Custodian is responsible for maintaining overall cleanliness of the facility and performing preventative maintenance in the facilities. This position does not include Electrical or HVAC work.

Job Responsibilities:

Inspect buildings to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repair

Perform minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. Replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, replacing drain hoses, etc.)

Perform painting and carpentry (e.g. preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints and stains, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles, etc.)

Perform preventative maintenance on equipment per manufacturer recommendations

Clean offices, hallways, lobbies, break areas, restrooms, parking lots and other work areas.

Use equipment (mops, brooms, etc.) and chemicals as appropriate to keep buildings clean

Empty garbage cans and dispose of waste

Refill dispensers of soap, disposable cups, and other consumables

Coordinate with management to ensure adequate supply of chemicals and consumables

Move office supplies using various dollies and hand trucks

Additional tasks as assigned by manager

Job Requirements

Valid Driver's License and ability to pass pre-employment driver's file

Prior experience in general maintenance

Basic knowledge of plumbing systems

Ability to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers

Ability to read and verify work order information

Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 50 pounds
