Mclaren Bay Region Director Operations in Bay City, Michigan

*Position Summary:* The Director Operations is responsible for the overall clinical and operational performance of the clinical departments of the West Branch Campus including Diagnostic Imaging, Emergency Services, Laboratory, Sleep Diagnostics, Physical Therapy, Primary Care, and Specialty Care in a matrix reporting structure. This individual reports to the Vice President Operations. The Director of Operations assists the Senior Executive team in the development, execution, and communication of goals, action plans, and metrics consistent with the Health System's overall Mission and strategic priorities related to the outpatient clinical services in West Branch. (S)he plans, directs, implements, coordinates, and improves patient care services within the organization and is the knowledge expert on current healthcare trends and implications.

*Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities:*

  • Coordinates patient care activities with other divisions of the organization to assure that quality patient care is maintained.
  • Works collaboratively with leadership and colleagues on the West Branch Campus as well as throughout the McLaren System.
  • Provides leadership on major outpatient business plan development for the West Branch campus and ensures execution.
  • Visionary leader in strategic initiatives central to the outpatient service line in West Branch.
  • Provides leadership and direction on achieving customer service excellence.
  • Directs and delegates management of all professional and non-professional clinical services personnel in the accomplishment of established hospital and division goals.
  • Continuously motivates staff to improve performance. Support and encourage all colleagues to take ownership in their work processes. Holds staff accountable for their performance.
  • Provides leadership and direction for the West Branch Campus in the attainment of regulatory, accreditation and internal standards within those areas of authority.
  • Supports the development and implementation of the hospital's plan of care.
  • Works collaboratively with the administrative team to plan, develop, implement and control the annual budget for clinical service departments.
  • Coordinates and participates in events to integrate McLaren West Branch into the community.
  • Provides oversight of projects and execution within the region.
