A patient care technician (PCT) is a healthcare professional who works under the supervision of a doctor, nurse, or other health professional to provide basic care to patients in a medical facility. PCTs interact with patients face-to-face and assist with daily tasks, such as:

• Vital signs: Measure vital signs, such as heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, temperature, and respiratory rate.

• Prepare exam rooms, which includes disposing of contaminated supplies, sterilizing medical tools, restocking equipment, and arranging instruments.

• Take medical histories, explain treatment procedures, and instruct patients about medication and special diets.

• Prepare and administer medications, including injections, as directed by a physician or other licensed provider.

• Greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, check in and out patients.

Required:

1. HS Diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

1. Preferred Successful completion of PCT /CMA training program with certification. CPR certified.
