Strike QA/QC Manager in Baytown, Texas
Job Summary:
The manager's roles & responsibilities are to establish and implement the Project Quality Management System in line with QHSE standards. The duties include but are not limited to the following:
Primary Job Function:
To plan, direct, manage and implement project quality assurance and control activities in compliance with Quality, Quality Control, and Regulatory and Client contract requirements.
Supervise and direct on-site quality personnel involved in quality control work including assignment and supervision of work, provide technical direction and support as well as resolution of problems and or questions.
Prepare and or approve Inspection and Test Plans and quality control procedures including field inspection checklists as required.
Review Subcontractor quality documentation including quality manuals, site quality plans, inspection and test plans and supporting procedures as applicable.
Prepare site quality activity reports as required.
Attend project meetings, daily construction meetings and client meetings as required.
Oversee suppliers of Geotechnical, Independent Inspection and NDE Services.
Oversee inspection of work in various disciplines as required.
Review results of internal audits and or Client project construction quality audits and ensure development of satisfactory corrective actions and closeout of audit findings.
Liaise with client project oversight personnel and regulatory representatives on all project quality matters.
Report any adverse trends related to project quality to operations and corporate quality management.
This job is located in Baytown, TX.
Additional Duties:
Process development, maintenance, implementation, and tracking r ecord keeping and verifications of various needed reports on a daily basis needed for project compliance. Heat Maps, Weld Maps, Torque Maps, Dimensional Verifications, MTR’s, Functional Acceptance Test, etc.
Interface with Document Control to ensure all relevant data is up to date in shop production packages as well as information being included in customer project manuals.
Ensure personnel certifications are tracked and up to date.
Ensure all equipment and instrumentation is logged, traceable and maintains calibrated interval tracking.
Ensure Weld procedures, welder qualifications, and continuity logs are maintained.
Ensure third party NDE procedures, personnel qualifications, and certificate logs are maintained.
Experience:
Minimum 5-10 years of quality management experience is required.
Prior relevant experience in an ISO 9001 certified system is a plus.
Must have Experience managing quality for pipeline and facilities projects.
Must have a working knowledge of all ANSI, ASME, and API standards and procedures related to the midstream oil and gas industry.
Experience in industrial mechanical construction, specifically in Oil and Gas sector.
Education/Training:
Bachelor’s degree in quality or engineering is preferred.
A current relevant quality certification preferred.
Full knowledge of quality standards, codes and industry practices.
AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification is required.
