Job Description:

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking an experienced and dedicated Data Acquisition & Processing Technician to join our team at our Bayview, Idaho location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical troubleshooting, cable splicing and repair, soldering, and the ability to read schematics and technical references. Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply wiring and cable management principles including splicing, mating of cables, troubleshooting, and testing.

  • Perform basic soldering tasks.

  • Read and interpret wiring schematics, blueprints, and technical references.

  • Clearly and precisely convey technical information and details.

  • Utilize knowledge of potting and molding principles, including the use of epoxy and elastomeric compounds.

  • Proficiently use electrical test equipment, including multi-meters, oscilloscopes, meggers, and precision measuring equipment, to diagnose and resolve electrical issues.

  • Assist in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of computer, acoustic systems and components.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality control procedures.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

● Education: Associates of Arts/Associates of Science or military tech school

● Required Experience: 3+ years of experience

● Required Technical Skills: electrical troubleshooting, cable splicing, repair and soldering.

● Security Clearance Level: Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance

● Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong experience reading technical drawings, and schematics.

  • Proficiency in electrical testing using a variety of electrical test equipment.

  • Excellent attention to detail, procedural compliance and ability to create and interpret technical documents.

● Preferred Skills: Ability to communicate well and problem solve

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $26.30 - $31.05. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
