Job Summary

The Child Care Assistant Manager is responsible for leading a cohesive teaching team, coordinating the curriculum and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the center in collaboration with the Senior Manager. The Assistant Manager must understand children’s cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating center environment where children and staff are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. The Assistant Manager must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults in order to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide center staff and support relationships with families. This position will comply with all company, department policies, County health department rules and all State licensing regulations.

Job Specifications:

  • Outlet: Beaver Creek

  • The budgeted range starts at $55,000 - $60,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience

  • Schedule & Shift Availability: Full Time, Year Round

Job Responsibilities

  • Support all staff by coordinating and implementing educational curriculum per classroom based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.

  • Lead by example; encourage teaching team’s success through modeling and coaching.

  • Effectively communicate center policies to staff and guests and efficiently support families at all times.

  • Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports and parent-teacher conferences.

  • Ensure all center policies and State regulations are met.

  • Ensure a healthy classroom environment – including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety & security of children.

  • Supervise teachers to ensure they follow planned activities, hygiene and safety standards.

  • Maintain accurate records, forms and files.

  • Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.

  • Effectively manage billing, paperwork, payroll, enrollment, purchasing, and other administrative tasks in coordination with Manager and when Manager is not present

Job Qualifications:

Required:

  • Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, or equivalent college credits approved by state licensing

  • At least 1 year of professional child care experience

  • 1 year of experience managing a classroom

  • 1 year of experience supervising a team

  • Current Director credential from CO Shines

  • Proficiency in Microsoft word, excel, Procare, Coupa, Concur, Epic Employee

  • Must be able to read, write, understand and speak English proficiently

  • Infant/Child First Aid and CPR Certification other required trainings per State of CO

Preferred:

  • Ability to work in a classroom as needed

  • Ability to work well with others and foster an inclusive team environment.

  • Strong understanding of child development, and open to continued professional development.

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, interpersonal skills and able to work in a fast paced environment.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.

  • Ability to follow all procedures and guidelines as outlined in the staff manual, employee handbook and State rules and regulations

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.

  • Must clear full background check and pass health screening

The expected pay range is $55,000 - $60,000. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
