Summary

Responsible for assisting with the application and I-9 process, supporting employee relations activity and/or transactional processing for the applicant/employee lifecycle in the HR database.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assigns employee lockers.

  • First point of contact for open positions, applications, and badge questions.

  • Generates employee badges.

  • Tracks group 4 associate's attendance.

  • Extracts data from the company's timekeeping system.

  • Supports preparing attendance counseling sheets.

  • Obtains associates, supervisor and appropriate HR representatives' signatures.

  • Enters New Hire names into Alchemy and creates table tents for orientation.

  • Supports the EPA.

  • Coordinates with Staffing Recruiter/ Hourly Interviewer to ensure all new hire paperwork requirements are consistently met.

  • Follows established retention policies and performs audits to ensure data integrity reporting audit results to management.

  • Ensures all personnel activity of the associate is entered into the HR database.

  • Utilizes all HR reporting tools. i. e., manpower, headcount, and other required reports, to perform audits and generate reports.

  • Makes recommendations to improve processes and efficiencies.

  • Answers all calls and transfer calls as needed.

  • Make popcorn for orientation or as needed.

  • Keep all associate forms stocked.

Minimum Education

AA degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field. In the absence of a degree, work experience may be considered.

AA degree is preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • 0 - 2 years experience.

  • Knowledge and experience of HRIS.

  • Requires prior experience using HR/Payroll database systems.

  • Proven success in handling administrative responsibilities.

  • Demonstrated ability for accuracy, meeting deadlines, experience in multi-tasking and ability to work with minimum supervision.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  • Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.

  • May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.

  • May need to access files, supplies and equipment.

  • Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
