Reference #: 4743264 THE POSITION The Bureau of Driver Licensing is seeking a Driver License District Manager to oversee subordinate supervisors in the Western Region, specifically within the Greater Pittsburgh District. This role will report directly to the Driver License Regional Manager and will involve guiding the Supervisors across various centers in the district. The successful candidate will be tasked with setting goals and objectives aimed at enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of operations at each Driver License Center in the Greater Pittsburgh District. DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, you will oversee the Supervisor across the Greater Pittsburgh District, managing the daily operations of six Driver License Centers. Your responsibilities will encompass human resource management, which includes the recruitment, placement, training, recognition, and disciplinary actions for both Civil Service and union-represented staff. You will also be tasked with ensuring that knowledge and skills assessments are conducted in a fair and consistent manner throughout the Greater Pittsburgh District. Additionally, you will monitor the overall performance and productivity of field employees through direct observations, analysis of productivity metrics, employee quality ratings, test outcomes, and customer satisfaction feedback. A key objective will be to minimize customer wait times across the district, ensuring that no center exceeds a 30-minute wait. Furthermore, you will actively promote and support the Customer Service Policy of Driver and Vehicle Services, which mandates that all customers in the Greater Pittsburgh District receive 100% courteous and professional service, while also ensuring that field management implements the necessary controls to maintain consistent service quality.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday-Saturday, with 30-minute lunch. This position may require overtime and travel as required. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Beaver Falls. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Four years of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public including one year of supervisory experience over customer service providers; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes one year of supervisory experience over customer service providers. Special Requirements: This position requires an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C Driver's License or equivalent and twenty-one years of age at the time of application. This position requires no suspensions or revocations of a driver's license during the five-year period immediately preceding employment.
