Description

We are in search of a Controller to join our client's team located on the westside of Portland, Oregon. This role functions within the Marketing and PR industry. The Controller will be instrumental in managing financial operations and ensuring smooth transitions. This opportunity offers a short-term contract employment.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize QuickBooks for various financial operations, including payroll management.

• Maintain a compassionate and empathetic approach when dealing with sensitive circumstances.

• Assist in responding to inquiries from the CEO and operations personnel.

• Leverage understanding of general ledger and accounting software systems.

• Assist the operations team with any finance-related questions or concerns.

• Ensure accurate record keeping and reporting of financial data.

• Liaise with different departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

• Utilize strong understanding of accounting principles to assist in the transition process.

Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with QuickBooks is essential

• Proven knowledge of the General Ledger

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required

• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent leadership and team management abilities

• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• CPA certification is preferred

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
