WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Demonstrated experience with Java development, cloud computing platforms, and microservices architecture (8 years of practical application or 5 years with advanced education)

  • Experience with cloud computing platforms, containerization, infrastructure as code, configuration management tools and CI/CD build systems

  • Track record of designing and implementing highly scalable web applications that use system observability and monitoring to meet high service levels

  • Ability to guide technical decisions, mentor team members while maintaining focus on delivery excellence

  • Ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and clearly articulate technical concepts to various audiences

  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with evolving technologies while helping others develop their skills

  • Bachelor Degree or a combination of relevant education, training and experience

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

As a Lead Software Engineer in our Content Platform team, you'll architect and develop solutions that

power Nike's global content publishing. You'll lead technical initiatives that enable multi-channel content

experiences while mentoring team members and collaborating across functions to drive innovation.

  • You'll work with stakeholders to assess requirements and identify innovative solutions

  • You'll collaborate with product owners to translate business challenges into technical solutions

  • You'll drive technical decisions and guide your team in building robust, cloud-native solutions

  • You'll mentor junior developers through code reviews and technical guidance

  • You'll build automated systems that enable seamless product and marketing content publishing

  • You'll implement monitoring and observability solutions to maintain system health

  • You'll resolve production issues and implement preventive measures through comprehensive unit testing

  • You'll work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to shape the future of sport
