Aerotek Maintenance Mechanic in Beaverton, Oregon

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic - Night

Multiple openings for maintenance mechanics/millwrights on night shift. Direct hire opportunity with great benefits with one of the nation's largest manufacturers in their industry and steady growth projections. This is a union position that could offer a day or swing shift in the future however all new hires will start on night shift after training period.

Work Environment

This is an industrial plant environment. The large facility has office spaces and a production floor with many machines and production lines. It can be loud at times with forklifts driving around, but it is a clean and orderly facility.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic breakdowns under minimal guidance of the maintenance supervisor.

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical system issues on production machinery.

  • Respond to work orders submitted by employees.

  • Participate and execute actions from the quality improvement program.

  • Aid in installation of new equipment for both the production floor and the facility.

  • Uphold company safety rules and report any unsafe conditions or behaviors to supervisors.

  • Maintain compliance with company quality systems and support audits.

  • Use shop equipment including welders and manual lathes to fabricate new fixtures for unique repairs.

  • Fabricate parts using welders and manual mill machinery.

  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience/knowledge in a mix of the following areas: Mechanical, plumbing, pneumatics, confined space, manual machining, Mig welding, Oxy / Plasma cutting.

  • Ability to adapt to change and respond to maintenance emergencies independently and responsibly.

  • Ability to problem solve and prioritize work.

  • Ability to bend, squat, kneel, and climb frequently.

  • Ability to stand for periods of a minimum of 3 hours.

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.

  • Ability to lift average weighted materials, 50 lbs up to 70 lbs occasionally.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical schematics, piping diagrams, and engineered drawings.

  • High school diploma or GED or trade school certificate preferred.

Skill Levels and Compensation Alignment:

  • Level 4 mechanic: ability to perform complex electro-mechanical troubleshooting on machinery, lacks the welding/fabrication skill = $32.72 + shift differential

  • Level 5 mechanic: ability to perform complex electro-mechanical troubleshooting on machinery WITH welding/fabrication skills = $39.98 + shift differential

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $68058.00 - $81080.00

This is a fully onsite position in Beaverton,OR.
