NA Sports Marketing Account Specialist, Styling and Athlete Service

The Nike Sports Marketing Team exists to innovate and serve athletes. Sports Marketing professionals provide the vital linkage between the company and Nike-sponsored athletes, clubs and federations worldwide! Sports Marketing employees partner with premier athletes to collect insights about existing and future products, gather inspirational stories about sport, and nurture long-term relationships between the athletes and the company. The team develops and implements Sports Marketing strategies, obtains endorsements and licensing agreements, and provides meaningful services & experiences to the best athletes in the world.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

As part of our North America Sports Marketing Athlete Experience team, the Styling and Athlete Service Account Specialist will provide order management support for styling and off-field product journeys and experiences for Nike’s top tier athletes. The candidate should have a team-first mentality and will play a critical role servicing our priority athletes, as well as supporting teammates within Sports Marketing.

As with all jobs in Sports Marketing, solid communication skills, both written and verbal, will be foundational to the Account Specialist role. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Nike systems and products, while being able to continually manage competing priorities. Ability to support teammates while prioritizing multiple competing tasks and requests will be key to success. The candidate is a self-starter who will manage these priorities quickly and efficiently, but will know when to elevate an issue for support as needed.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

You will serve as one of the key faces and first points of contact for athlete styling support for the entire NA Sports Marketing team. You will work with key Sports Marketing stakeholders, and cross functionally, to manage product orders to deliver premium product services and journeys, that align to Brand and Business priorities, for priority athletes and around key sport moments. Specific responsibilities include: managing product orders, product forecasting, contractual maintenance, and overall program metrics. The main systems you will utilize are Assort Visual, SEC, and the LA Promo Warehouse Management System. You will also manage the end-to-end process for seeding Calayst/NRG product, in collaboration with the NRG Marketing team.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will be reporting to the NA Sports Marketing Director of Athlete Experience, and you will partner closely with the entire NASM Athlete Experience Team. In addition, you will collaborate with other Sports Marketing stakeholders, Operations, NRG Marketing, and Brand Marketing. Establishing and maintaining cross-functional relationships will be critical to success.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field; or a combination of relevant education, experience, and training.

  • 2+ years’ successful experience navigating a complex matrix and building key relationships to achieve business results.

  • 2+ years' account/project management and internal/external relationship management experience, preferably in the Sports/Fashion industry.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including meeting facilitation and presentations, including PowerPoint presentations, Excel and MS Office experience, as well as experience with Mac Keynote presentations.

  • Proficient in SEC, Assort Visual, and Excel.

  • Ability to manage high profile communication and athlete relationships.

  • Ability to juggle multiple time sensitive (both macro and micro) priorities and communicate bad news when necessary.

  • True passion, understanding and interest in both the Sport and Fashion industries. Understanding of Nike Lifestyle products.

  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
