Test Technician

Job Description

Under direct supervision, this role involves performing a variety of routine tasks to ensure that production quality standards are met. The Test Technician will handle the setup, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuit cards, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies. The role includes operating programmable auto-testers, samplers, real-time oscilloscopes, signal generators, DMMs, power supplies, and special test fixtures. Responsibilities are well-defined and require minimal judgment or interpretation, adhering strictly to AS9100 and departmental requirements.

Skills

  • Set-up and operate test equipment

  • Solid board-level troubleshooting skills

  • Operate programmable auto-testers, samplers, real-time oscilloscopes, signal generators, DMMs, power supplies

  • Maintenance of test equipment

  • Coordination of test procedures changes and upgrades

  • Work with engineering on upgrades to test software, hardware and procedures

  • Ability to document results accurately

  • Capable of assisting with test failure analysis

  • Effective coordination and communication with engineering on test failures

  • Recommendation of changes to improve efficiencies and coverage of test methods

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Beaverton, Oregon.

Duties are performed under direct supervision in a structured environment, where adherence to production quality standards and procedures is paramount. The role requires minimal judgment with well-defined responsibilities, ensuring compliance with all applicable procedures and work instructions.
