Description

We are in search of an Accounts Payable Clerk I to join our team in Bedford, Massachusetts. This role is central to our organization's accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. The successful candidate will be tasked with clerical duties that include data entry, invoice processing, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Compile and verify amounts owed to and from the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies.

• Input financial data into the accounting system based on invoices and payments.

• Receive and distribute invoices, verify their accuracy, and ensure they comply with our financial policies.

• Reconcile reported amounts by comparing invoices to purchase orders and other records.

• Enter invoice amounts into the accounting system and process payments efficiently.

• Address and resolve inquiries from customers or clients; research and rectify any discrepancies in financial records.

• Assist in file management and preparation for audits to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma required.

• Experience in handling basic accounts payable and receivable tasks under direct supervision.

• Beginning to working knowledge of relevant accounting practices and principles.

• Ability to handle basic issues and problems, referring more complex issues to higher-level staff.

• Proficiency in using standard office and accounting software.

Skills:

• Strong organizational and clerical skills.

• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
