Concord Group Insurance Software Engineer Lead in Bedford, New Hampshire

Concord Group Insurance is seeking a Technical Lead that will be instrumental in shaping the technical direction of our projects while providing expert guidance to a team of skilled software engineers. This role combines strategic planning, project management, and hands-on development. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing scalable systems, optimizing team performance, and fostering a collaborative work environment.

This position is considered hybrid, you must be able to work on-site and attend in-person group meetings as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of developers in the design, development, and implementation of software applications.

  • Work closely with Project Managers, Product Owners, and Design Teams to define the technical requirements and outline the project deliverables.

  • Establish and implement technical standards, including coding standards, tools, or platforms, to ensure high-quality code and maintain product consistency.

  • Mentor and support team members through code reviews, performance evaluations, and by providing technical guidance.

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the development team within an Agile/Scrum environment.

  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, and advocate for the adoption of new technologies that will benefit the project.

  • Ensure documentation of the software development process is comprehensive and up-to-date.

  • Coordinate with other team leads and stakeholders to ensure cohesiveness of the overall project.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent work experience required

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Information Technology

  • Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience preferred

  • Knowledge of the following:

  • SQL Server

  • Microsoft Visual Studio

  • Microsoft .Net Framework

  • C# development

  • Microsoft Office Suite
