This is not a development/software house – this role will be more creating reports, and taking requirements by users and trying to figure out how to either leverage the ERP systems that we have, or write on bolt on systems into our current ERP system.

Seeking a Senior Programmer Analyst. The person in the position plays a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing our software systems and applications. You will be able to use your expertise in SQL, Visual Basic, .NET development, and SSRS reporting to design, implement, and troubleshoot solutions that meet our organization's and clients' needs.

Other Job Duties:

• Create and maintain SSRS reports to provide insightful and actionable data for stakeholders.

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions using SQL, Visual Basic, .NET, and other relevant technologies.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity through effective database design and maintenance.

• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our systems and processes.

• Participate in code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices for software development.

• Document technical specifications, user guides, and other relevant documentation as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong proficiency in creating and supporting SSRS reports.

• Solid understanding of database concepts, including database design, normalization, and optimization.

• Experience with version control systems - agile development methodologies.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred but not required.

• Degreed candidates: 5 years of proven experience in software development with expertise in SQL, Visual Basic, and .NET technologies. Non-degreed candidates require 7 years of experience and Microsoft Certifications focusing on SQL.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer).

• Experience with other reporting tools such as Power BI or Crystal Reports.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).

This position would work across our multiple locations to ensure consistency and regulatory compliance.

-managerial/leadership experience (It can be team lead experience or even if candidate does not have the label of "lead" but is able to explain they led a small team that will suffice)

-cross functional experience? Or running multiple projects with different teams – BAs, developers, etc. – have they played a role as a BA? Write reports, understand requirements definition.

-not a dev. House – writing reports, taking requests from users, leverage ERP systems or build on to ERP systems – not building out solutions.

-Experience working with third party or deciding on a managed service

-Microsoft experience – ssis, ssrs, .net, etc.

-if they come from an oracle or SAP - why are they looking to get out of it? How much experience is outside of sap/oracle
