Registered Nurse (RN) – PRN Nights– Mother/Baby Unit for Texas Health HEB

Fast growing Mother/Baby unit is looking for top skilled nurses. Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health HEB, 1600 Hospital Parkway Bedford, TX 76022

Work hours: PRN Level III/per diem, Night Shift 7p – 7a; minimum requirement: 6 shift/per 6-week schedule, 2 weekend shift/per 6-week schedule, 1 major/2 minor holiday requirement

Mother/Baby Department highlights:

  • Work environment: The Siratt Women's Center at Texas Health Hurst Euless Bedford (HEB) Hospital has a PRN opportunity for an experienced Mother/Baby RN.

  • 12 bed Mother/Baby and Maternal/Newborn Unit

  • 9 bed LDR, 3 OR suites, 4 bed OB ED unit with an average of 200 deliveries a month

  • Level II NICU

  • Couplet care, Maternal Designation and Magnet Designated

Here’s What You Need

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred

  • RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required

  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly

  • NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days of hire

  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire

  • 1 Year experience as a Registered Nurse required

  • 1 year of RN experience in Mother/Baby strongly preferred

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

  • Assesses the patient

  • Plans the care of the patient

  • Intervenes as appropriate

  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
